My Story

Hi everyone! My name is Angela Jones, and this is how it all started.

I am a licensed home-based baker and the owner of SD Creations. What does “SD” stand for, you might ask. SD stands for “Sweet Dandelion.” The story behind finding this name all began when I saw the actual flower.

In March of 2020, when I was living in Georgia, my dog and I were heading to my backyard. As soon as I opened the door, we were greeted with what seemed like hundreds of white fluffy and yellow flowers gracefully and brightly dancing under the sun. I stood in amazement as I watched, and all I could think was what type of flower were these. After doing some research, I learned these little flowers were dandelions! Dandelions are known as bothersome weeds, but by changing one’s perspective, you will find they are resilient plants that continue to thrive no matter what obstacles they face. Even though I’ve always loved to cook and bake, something about this flower lit a spark in me to do more than just that—a desire to open my own business as a baker. I’ve learned, some of the simplest moments in life can spark the craziest or biggest dreams. Because I didn’t want to just leave this desire as a dream, I decided to make this dream a reality.

Like the dandelions which symbolize “light, hope, healing, and joy,” my vision is that SD Creations will be a light and bring hope, joy, and healing to all who choose SD Creations.

SD Creations is based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Baker Behind the Apron

Besides being a baker, I’m a mom, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a friend, and most importantly a child of God. I love to sing; I’m pretty competitive when it comes to games and sports; and I love to serve others. I’m truly blessed that I can live out a passion that also brings God (the father, son, and holy spirit) glory.
